The underlying index, introduced in 1994, covers approximately three percent of the US equities markets. Requirements for eligibility include US companies with a market cap between $300 million and $2 billion with four consecutive quarters of positive as-reported earnings, a public float of at least 50%, adequate liquidity, and a reasonable price.
