Description to the S&P SmallCap 600 Index Fund, traded under ticker symbol IJR: This ETF is a fund, created in May 2000, that corresponds to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of United States small capitalization stocks, as represented by the S&P SmallCap 600 Index. The underlying index, introduced in 1994, covers approximately three percent of the US equities markets. Requirements for eligibility include US companies with a market cap between $300 million and $2 billion with four consecutive quarters of positive as-reported earnings, a public float of at least 50%, adequate liquidity, and a reasonable price. Sector representation is taken into account, and the constituents must be operating companies, not closed-end funds, holding companies, partnerships, investment vehicles or royalty trusts. REITs and BDCs, however, are eligible.
