Journal Communications operates in the following reportable business segments: broadcasting; and publishing. The broadcasting business is conducted through Co.'s wholly owned subsidiary, Journal Broadcast Corporation, and its subsidiaries, which together operate 13 television stations and 35 radio stations in 11 states. In certain of its markets, Co. either operates both television and radio stations or operates more than one television station. Co.'s publishing business is conducted through its wholly owned subsidiaries, Journal Sentinel, Inc. and Journal Community Publishing Group, Inc., and consists of its daily newspaper, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, and its community publications.
