Nuveen Municipal 2021 Target Term Fund is a closed-end management investment company. The Fund seeks to provide a current income exempt from federal income tax. The Fund also may invest in certain derivative instruments in pursuit of its investment objectives. Such instruments include options, financial futures contracts and options thereon, swaps (including interest rate swaps, total return swaps and credit default swaps), and options on swaps.
